Saint-Côme-Linière, May 3, 2022 – Métal Duquet, a leading Quebec-based manufacturer of integrated stainless steel systems for the services , has acquired a majority stake inAtelier du chef, another Quebec-based company renowned for providing comprehensive commercial kitchen equipment solutions. This merger aims to better serve customers in all their needs.

“Through this acquisition, we are able to assemble the dream team that will develop a 360-degree offering, from oven to table, by combining our expertise in custom manufacturing, state-of-the-art equipment, delivery, and installation,” explains Peggy Duquet, president of Métal Duquet the new group.

The transaction will bring together approximately 100 employees and generate annual revenue of around $40 million. The integrated offering will be supported by a manufacturing plant in Saint-Côme-Linière, a distribution center, and threeAtelier du chef locationsAtelier du chef Saguenay, Québec, and Boucherville.

“We are now able to create favorable conditions by leveraging all the group’s complementary expertise. We can also consolidate logistics and coordinate purchasing agreements. It’s very exciting, especially since all teams will remain with the company they are currently affiliated with,” confirms Michel Grenier, current president of Atelier du chef, who will support the new team during the transition as a senior consultant.
