Saint-Côme-Linière, May 3, 2022 - Métal Duquet, a leading Quebec manufacturer of integrated stainless steel systems for the foodservice industry, has acquired a majority shareholding inAtelier du chef, another Quebec-based company renowned for its complete range of commercial kitchen equipment. The union of forces is designed to better serve customers in all their needs.

"Through this acquisition, we are able to form the dream team that will be able to develop a 360-degree offering, from oven to table, by multiplying our expertise, whether through custom manufacturing, state-of-the-art equipment, delivery or installation," says Peggy Duquet, President of Métal Duquet and the new group.

The transaction will bring together some 100 employees and annual sales approaching $40 million. The integrated offering will be supported by a manufacturing plant in Saint-Côme-Linière, a distribution center and threeAtelier du chef branches located in Saguenay, Québec and Boucherville.

" We are now in a position to create favorable circumstances by bringing together all the group's complementary expertise. We can also consolidate logistics and federate purchasing agreements. It's very stimulating, all the more so as all the teams will remain with the company to which they are currently attached," confirms Michel Grenier, current President at Atelier du chef, who will be assisting the new team in the transition as a senior consultant.
